Regarding real estate ~ these last 2 years & especially the last 1, our market has been “on fire.” Inventories are still down compared to years ago which continues to keep prices strong. I’ve been hearing from my buyers that they are waiting for the prices to come down like they did in 2008 but everything has changed since then. No one is moving north & the southern boom is in full bloom! Some homes & condos are staying on the market a little longer (if they’re priced too high) but the market here will continue to flourish & not be as volatile as the stock market can be. I did get this from a mortgage person at TD Bank a couple days ago ~

A couple weeks ago we saw the Federal Reserve announced another .75% rate hike yet mortgage rates dropped… try explaining that to customers. The bottom line is this rate hike was already baked into current mortgage rates and since demand remains low… down they went. Here are the current rates on our three most requested mortgage programs.  As always, if you would like me to price a specific loan, just let me know!”  Current rates: 8/18
